Amorphous alloys and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)

چکیده

Abstract A remarkable number of scientific papers are available in the literature about bulk amorphous alloys and metallic glasses. Today, DSC is an essential tool for research development, course quality assurance. In many cases, users seek to examine determination only one or two properties, although much more information can be obtained from measurements. The involved structural relaxation, Curie temperature, glass crystallization, phase separation, nanocrystalline volume fraction, melting point liquidus temperature subjects kinetics microstructural transformations induced by thermal treatment. We collected present that with this technique draws reader’s attention some potential problems related data interpretation.

Surveying the effects of silver nanoparticle on thermal properties of some calyx [4]arene compounds by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)

One of the best and the most active ways for surveying thermal behaviour of materials is using differential scanning calorimetry. In this paper, the authors have studied thermal behaviour for Schiff base ligand and their synthesized Cobalt, Nickel complexes. In this method, the sample is opposed to a controlled temperature change and its physical properties. Here we studied melting point and Tg...

Nucleation and crystallisation kinetics of a Na-fluorrichterite based glass by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)

The present paper shows the results of a nucleation and crystallisation study of a Nafluorrichterite glass carried out by dynamic scanning calorimetry (DSC). The kinetic study was performed using different procedures (Kissinger, Matusita-Sakka and Kissinger-AkahiraSunose (KAS) methods), and the Avrami parameter was determined from the Ozawa and Malek approximations and the Malek equation. The r...

DSC, TMDSC AND LISSAJOUS FIGURES Lissajous Figures for Understanding Temperature Modulated Differential Scanning Calorimetry of Nylons

“Heat Flux” instruments use an alternative method where both pans are heated from a single heating source in the DSC cell walls. The temperature difference between the two pans is monitored using thermocouples positioned under the sample and reference pans. The actual heat flow into or out of the sample pan is calculated from the measured temperature difference. This approach is that used by TA...
